Your starter or starter solinoid. Or if you lucky the connection to the starter. It sounds like your starter is trying really hard and having trouble. Good thing to try is ingition cleaners. I suggest seafoam. It cleans many things and cant hurt. Its easy just read the directions and put it in the gas tank.

Hi oh dear this is a symptom of needing a head gasket so check for water in the oil and oil in the water seen floating on top of the coolant in the header tank. so this could be expensive repair.
