Green tea isn't bitter unless you let it steep too long. Two minutes should be more than enough if you douse the bag a couple of times, then squeeze it. Caffeine doesn't affect the flavor, and even caffeinated green tea has less than a quarter of the caffeine in a cup of coffee. Green tea is the most consumed beverage in the world after water. So you are far from alone in enjoying the flavor.
