Original would have been DexCool which was the orange stuff. That stuff is fine as long as it gets changed when its supposed to get changed. I got a 96 with 300K miles on it now and I'm still running Dex but I have it flushed regularly. If you are adding you should add with what ever matches what is in there now. Some of the coolants don't mix well and can cause big issues. If you can't tell what is in there now you should get it flushed and then refilled with what ever you want. Most people would choose the old school common green stuff because its the least expensive.

what kind is in it now, green or orange ? i use the green kind in my blazer !
