Something that works for your personal food limitations. If you're vegan, bring something vegan. Gluten free? Bring something gluten free.

Somthing heaty and time consuming. Like meat loaf or lasnaga. The good thing about these types of meals it that you can make them anyway you your own unique way. That's the best part of cooking is a persons reaction .. knowing that someone enjoys something you created. So I wouldn't do nothing simple, I would go all out.. throw a desert in there to =)

It is best to work out something to bring with the hostess so that everybody doesn't bring devilled eggs, coleslaw, potato salad, etc. At this time of year there a good beef stew or soup would probably be appreciated Dune
