tree sap Rosin, also called colophony or Greek pitch. So it's the pitch of a particular tree.... not sure which. Smells like a pine tree though.

It is made of pine tree sap/resin. Rosin is a solid form of resin obtained from pines and some other plants, mostly conifers, produced by heating fresh liquid resin to reduce it down to a concentrate.
