First of all there is no such thing as a "NORMAL" airplane. There are hundreds of designs in operation around the world. They are all designed for to meet different needs. Speeds can range anywhere from 30 kts in an ultralight to 2000+ kts in military figter jets. You need to be more specific with your question if you want specific answers.

Small piston aircraft: 60-150 kts or so. Jet Airliners and many other Jets: 500 kts or so Military fighters: capable of supersonic. These are generalities.
