The 3.0 has a steel idler pulley, if you want you can just change out the bearing and save a bunch of money seeing as it's the only thing that wears out, use a socket that's about the same Outer diameter of the bearing and hammer it out (might have to support the pulley on wooden blocks to allow bearing to fall out), clean inside bore and tap new one in. You can set new bearing in freezer for a few hours and it'll shrink a tiny bit which will let it go in easier. Oh yeah, look on the bearing cap to get the number, something like 6303, 6302, etc..... If you would rather get a new unit, get a Gates brand. Pretty good stuff! Good luck
