Below is a simple search for your main question. As for the rest, it all depends on the degree to which they are affected -- some are able to function in society (frequently with the help of medication) but others are just "too far gone" to be allowed around others (this is especially true of paranoid schizophrenics).

Schizophrenia is a challenging disorder that makes it difficult to distinguish between what is real and unreal, think clearly, manage emotions, relate to others, and function normally. But that doesn't mean there isn't hope. Schizophrenia can be successfully managed.People with schizophrenia have an altered perception of reality, often a significant loss of contact with reality. They may see or hear things that don’t exist, speak in strange or confusing ways, believe that others are trying to harm them, or feel like they’re being constantly watched. There are three types of schizophrenia disorder found, paranoid schizophrenia, disorganized schizophrenia and catatonic schizophrenia. With medication, therapy, and a strong support network, many people with schizophrenia are able to control their symptoms, gain greater independence, and lead fulfilling lives. As you said above that they should not keep away form society because with the loneliness they get into this disorder more instead of take out. We should behave with them normally and should not be treated as a mental disorder patient. That can be occur with every person dear.
