Complicated to explain but basically a bunch of fairies has magical clouds and the-... just kidding cloud computing is more like a bunch of computers operating at real time connected through a network

Cloud computing is where the software, data processing and data storage is held and performed in a mainframe rather than on a personal computer. In theory this allows a 'low' spec home machine to perform as well as powerful mainframe machine, but relies on high speed dependable connections.
