why don't you go to the nearest McDonalds, order a burger and fries and while you eat, sit at a table and watch the employees. Everything they do, you would do. Life is simple. Show up and pay attention.

When i was working at mcdonalds, i had to clean the tables, sometimes mop and sweep the floors, take orders, prepare orders (bag the burgers and etc), make drinks, ice creams, shakes and etc and other small tasks like refilling the ice cream cones or wiping down the bench and trays, sometimes i had to get stuff from the freezer but usually they get the bigger guys to do that. it was pretty fun, when it was more quiet i just did small tasks really slowly

likely you will be doing shift work. this is where every few weeks or so they switch you around in positions. so let's say the first 4 weeks you were at the cashier, the next 4 weeks you would be cleaning bathroom stalls. the following 4 weeks after that you might be filling out orders. the following 4 weeks you might be at the drive through counter. it usually works like that. basically what you see is what you got. there isn't much more than filling out orders, cleaning bathrooms, and using cashier.
