The pell grant is based on your income. If you meet with income requirements you may be eligible for the pell grant. The best thing to do is fill out the FAFSA at and have it sent to the community college you are planning on attending. They will award you financial aid and it may have a combination of loans and grants. You are then able to choose which combination of which financial aid you would like. Do not shy away from loans. If they are something you need to complete your education, it is worth it in the long run.
