It would help if we were comparing a HDD to something else. It has mechanical moving parts - these eventually throw up problems. Physical size - they are relatively large Capacity - HDDs used to be relatively small. The capacity now is in TB but some may still find this limiting They can be stolen - along with your data They are sensitive to water / magnets
