There is enough scientific work to go around and all the scientist today eill be dead and gone before AGW is, you can count on it

No I'm sure they would switch to long how long CO2 will stay in the atmosphere, and what the effects will be, long term, plenty of funding there.

Energy comes from sources other than hydrocarbons.

Nope. Even if we never burned another hydrocarbon, we'd still need climate scientists. We would like to figure out how things like ENSO and PDO actually work. We'd like to figure out the exact effects of things like sunspots. We'd like to be able to make 20-year climate predictions that are as accurate as our current 7-day weather predictions (that is, accurate enough for most practical purposes). And so on. Plenty of science to go around, no "alarmism" required. It's just that the most urgent and interesting branch of climate science right at this moment is "what do we do about AGW"...

No, there are other bogeymen out there- clean water, soil erosion, increasing desserts, rain forests, etc. I'm sure they would have no trouble finding another threat to life as we know it.

The only climate scientists I know whose jobs depend on burning hydrocarbons are ones like Patrick Michaels and Richard Lindzen. I would have included Fred Singer, but I don't think he's any sort of scientist these days.

Global Warming ended last year in 2012 and all non solids that rise into the upper atmosphere separate into nothingness by Nature, so the sun's ray's can warm the earth so all plants can grow food and give oxygen so all species on and in earth can survive. Mike / global Command

No. Climate scientists tend to behave like adults, unlike deniers who squabble like unruly children having a temper tantrum.
