Neither. Landrover isnt a reliable company and its way too overpriced Id say which ever model has existed the longest is probably better, but the same place makes the motors and other things so the quality is the same. Its really which car has the features you want

Hi well for a start neither is ever going to as good as a toyota land cruiser. looks are not every thing in this life especially when it comes to off road you need a reliable weapon. then we have the issues here both built by the FORD motor company as cars never really intended for off road use. especially the freelander. a concept car idea not actually meant to driven off road has some many issues even being driven on tarmac even. economics is yet another issues apart from the basic issue of always breaking down do you mean. yes these both have reliability issues. just not well built and yes ford and it's rubbish construction lies at the heart of the problem a real Land Rover is a defender not a poncy range rover or a evogue they are a chelsea tractor for taking the kids to school. get a real off road car like a land cruiser or even a shogun or if you really want a fast off road rally car a subaru. why mess with the rubbish.
