I would go anyway, because who knows who you will meet there? You would just sit at home, thinking about the party if you didn't go. So go and have fun!

Not an easy answer, depending on how hard it is for you to get "friends." But, if you like taking chances for the thrill of it, go on ahead. You don't need to inform your friends. If they ask, just tell them you hated it. They (tongue in cheek now) will understand!
