The reason 2wd aren't lifted is that you can't really take them to places where a lifted 2wd truck would be more beneficial (to get you out of trouble). Some of those places need 4wd. Also, a lifted 4wd has more resale value than a 2wd lifted. But if you're doing it for looks and have the cash, there's really nothing stopping you. My opinion.

Ford never made a "V4" Ranger, thought they made plenty of Rangers with I4 engines. And yes lifted 2WD trucks are more show than go.

v4? do you mean 4 cylinder? with a low power engine like that and 2WD, i would say it is not worth the money. if you want to go sand duning, go for an older jeep cherokee. theyre easy to lift and really durable.
