There are lots of food pantries and you can get emergency food stamps. Also I would try talking to churches in your area and telling them your situation

Have a word with the JobCentre to ask what help is available. Congrats on the new job.

Check with the Jobcentre - there may be some support available (perhaps a loan to tide you over) - https://www.gov.uk/moving-from-benefits-to-work/overview Al so talk to your new employer - they may be willing to f=give you a small advance on your first month's wages.

Unfortunately that's how it is - you get paid when you have done the work. The only real option is to ask your employer for an advance, but don't ask for too much or you will have this problem for months.
