Signing bonus repayment tax?

Answer this question

  • Signing bonus repayment tax?

Answer #1 | 19/12 2013 05:38
You will be able to claim a refund of the tax and NI you paid on the bonus, but make sure you get the company to either do the adjustment in your pay to date, or otherwise confirm it in writing. Keep an eye on the total of tax and NI paid by the end of the tax year to make sure you have received the credit for the return of the bonus.

Yes you can clawback the tax and NI when you repay your bonus. The simpler method would be just to repay the net amount after tax and NI to your miserable company.
