Thanks for your message Question a) So you say you mean this: C = 4d^-(1/3) * b and you also say that d = 23,245 and b = 13.5 Thus, C = 4(23245)^-(1/3) * 13.5 (23245)^-(1/3) = 1/((23245)^(1/3)) = cube root of (23245) = 28.5392912 So, C= (4/28.5392912)13.5 C = 1.89212828103 That then is the capsize screening value for the Tartan 4100 Question b) To solve this equation C= 4d^-(1/3)*b for d C= (4/d^1/3) * b (4/d^1/3) = C/b Cube both sides and you get 64/d = (C/b)^3 or d/64 = (b/C)^3 So, d = (b/C)^3 * 64 or (b^3)/(C^3) * 64 Question c) The accompanying graph shows....
