You really have to ask the seller, maybe he was feeling generous and gave it to you as a Christmas gift for free, maybe and more likely he made a mistake and will pursue you for the money in the new year when he gets sober. We can't guess what is in the seller's mind. You have to communicate with him before you open up the reading rest and start using it.
