Your home theater in a box is not a very good system. They are not flexible for adding anything to them or for up grading. When one item fails you have to replace the whole system. It would not be cost effective in repairing than just buying a new one. The issue is with the main receiver. Hope this will help you out.

The display is blinking due to an overload condition. If they blink even with the volume control all the way down - the unit has failed and the only fix is to replace all of it with a new system. If it comes on and you hear a faint "click" that coincides with the blinking display - one of your speaker connections is shorted.
