I think your misunderstanding the job medics and ED nurses have in the case of mental health crisis. They are not tasked or equipped to talk to you about your troubles or attempt to get to the root of your issues. They are tasked to keep you safe until you can be delivered to an appropriate facity or professional. Your mileage will vary with health providers, some will be ok or even nice to you, others really don't care for mental health work and will really do the minimum they have to.
