It comes from skin and hair flaking off of humans. And indoor pets. And fabrics that can be linty, such as cotton bedspreads. It is inevitable, unless we become bubble people.

Household dust comes from a variety of places. Particles of grime in the air, lint off clothes, human skin, animal dander, mite droppings, flour (or any other dusty things in the house such as talc etc), sand, or other particles brought in from outside for example.
