My husband got me 1/3 ct diamond ring, but a good diamond Get a smaller ring, but a better diamond. This way the ring will not be to big for her, but a good diamond sparkle more than a lesser diamond. Look at local jewelry stores, a lot of time you could get a better diamond for less money Do you know what color metal she likes, get that color

Bring her to the jewelry store, I suggest it would please her if the two of you agree what to buy and what to wear, after all the two of you will always be together. good luck

I would definitely not even consider one of those over the top, halo set rings that are surrounded by other diamonds, that are all the rage these days. I have three ideas: 1. A vintage engagement ring - they are generally quite understated: engagement-ring-diamond-ring-14k?ref=sr_gallery_6&ga_search_ query=engagement+ring&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_ship_to=US&ga_ ref=auto4&ga_explicit_scope=1&ga_search_type=vintage&ga_face t=vintageengagement+ring 2. A simple solitaire - now, that doesn't mean cheap by any means (always invest in the best stone you can find, not the setting): agement-ring-solitaire?ref=sr_gallery_8&ga_search_query=soli taire+engagement+ring&ga_order=most_relevant&ga_view_type=ga llery&ga_ship_to=US&ga_ref=auto1&ga_search_type=handmade&ga_ facet=handmadesolitaire+engagement+ring 3. A pretty ring that isn't a diamond, and therefore, is automatically cheaper than a diamond, and won't make her feel so uncomfortable: silver-4-carats?ref=sr_gallery_15&ga_search_query=aquamarine +ring&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_ship_to=US&ga_search_type=vint age&ga_facet=vintageaquamarine+ring

Pricey and expensive are words that mean different things to different people. Make sure to do your research on how to buy a diamnd. You should never buy a ring on line or in a mall store. Shop in an independant store.Stay between 1 - 2 C . Get a simple solitaire.A round stone is always in style. I love the asher cut too.No princess and no halo's.The wedding band can be plain or even have some stones. Here are some suggestions: pSKU=GRP10001&origin=engagement&search_params=param+0/0/0/0/ 0#p+1-n+1000-c+-s+-r+-t+-ni+1-x+-pu+-f+false+5-lr+-hr+-ri+-m i+-pp+ dd&builder=BYOR&forceStep=DIAMONDS_STEP&is_ring=1&offer_id=2 &oid=2&oid_band=&sAction=basket&select_this_style_top=Select %20this%20style&shape= hing?id=46044658
