running a long telephone cable / ADSL signal in a house is not a good idea (internal Telephone cable is not the same quality and also lots of mains power interference) The recomendation is - (wireless) router at the 1st socket into the house, and NO extensions on the phone socket. connectiong using - Wifi OR if you have range or inteference issues, - a long cable (which you do not want) or - PowerLine boxes - Mains plug in extenders (internet over the power cables in the house) Mains extenders are as cheap as 30 now... http:/ / htt p:// http://w|category_ro ot|Technology|33006169/c_2/2|33006169|Laptops+and+PCs|330077 95/c_3/3|cat_33007795|Networking|33017062/c_4/4|cat_33017062 |Powerlines|33025798.htm Personally, I would try wifi but failing that the Mains links work fine
