if you own the house or allowed to touch switches in the fuse box, you can try just turning the switch to the power or electricity in the fuse Box off and then back on.

Sounds like a blown fuse or tripped breaker. Easy for a homeowner to fix, but if you've never done it, curl up with a good book and wait for Dad to get home. You are not in any danger.

kev give a good answer ...sounds like you have tripped the socket circuit ...the lights are on a seperate circuit ..your dad should be able to fix it what he does ...its just flipping a switch
