According to the literature, when a fasting-glucose test is done (an overnight or eight-hour fast before the test) and the glucose (blood sugar) reading is 100 - 125 mg/dl, then one is considered to be prediabetic (or borderline diabetic). Please, however, make an appointment with a board-certified endocrinologist as they treat people with hormone disorders, including diabetes and thyroid disorder.
