Hi: It never to late to change careers. Go back get your degree. Be the teacher you want to be. If teaching is your cup of tea than be it . Use your job to get a better one. Granted it tough but you can make a difference in a lot of kids life's. Help out at you local school So you get a feel for it and see if you like it. I hope this helps. Sometimes we all get sidetrack. But as along we get back on the main path to where we want go too, than the sidetrack was a waiting time So don't give up - instead go back and reclaim what you want to be. I hope this helps.

nope. but you can do something about it. teachers work untill their mid to late 60s - you can get additional units in math and a credential and be working as a teacher within 2-3 years. that leaves you 15-20 years working in your dream job. Dont be jealous - do something about it. Instead of posting negatives, head on down to your local state college tomorrow and visit their education department. Nearly every school has credentialing programs for working adults and career switchers.
