A resume should start off with: Name Address Phone number Email address Gender Date of Birth Current School and Year then Education Work experience and/or Volunteer/Community Experience Languages spoken (list them, no elaboration) Interests Any other information that is relevant to the job. You need to be aware that resumes are not always generic and should address the position you are applying for, in this case a basic supermarket job (we don't call them grocery stores in Australia). So, too much information will make you look over qualified for such a position, bore the supermarket manager, and you will miss out on a job. Keep it simple! So: No italics No colour English only. I gather you are in Australia, not Israel, and your resume should be in the language of the country you're in. It's OK to mention a blog, but give a link. If it's something you don't want prospective employers to see, then don't mention it at all. Only mention First Aid if you actually have a First Aid Certificate, otherwise it's irrelevant. Spell out acronyms such as MSHS The hobbies and interests are not relevant at all and, while it's good to have aspirations, these are not of interest to any supermarket manager. A resume like this will get attention, but not the kind that will get you the job, as your unique personality and new ideas are not what is required in a supermarket!
