Yes it is considered self-harm, I used to cut myself, scratch myself, give myself bruises from various things. There are many forms of self-harm and it's not healthy if you're feeling that way you should consider seeking help

It depends. Some may say it is but then some will say it isn't. In my opinion it is as I am a self harmer. I started out just like you. If you wanna know I do cut myself. If you wanna talk to someone about it talk to a friend you trust or the school counsellor/shrink. Hope this helps.

From the way you are describing it yes. Instead of hurting your self try ripping pieces if paper (that always helps me for some reason) or drawing on yourself but not to the point where it's painful and bleeds. I hope that was helpful :)
