The US is a mixture of most countries. Do people not realize there are urban parts of Africa? The US is similar to a salad bowl in that way. We don't completely mix like a melting pot, but each culture contributes to a united culture. Plus we have a tendency to take out the radishes when we're mad at them.

The U.S. is a hybrid of European cultures. Africans that were brought over as slaves, their culture, unfortunately, was sort of lost. It was probably discouraged, and people who were brought over were spread out. This is different from other immigrations where (for instance) whole Italian or Irish families would come and go live in an area of the states where other italians or irish were living. This way, the culture would continue on.

I would say that USA is a hybrid of European and non-European culture since there are Asians, from both South East Asia like China and South West Asia like Libanon and the rest of the arab world, and Africans from Egypt and all the way down to South Africa. So as i said a hybrid of European and non-European culture.
