It was politicians who got rid of Australia's carbon tax. How could it be a warning to politicians? To bad for future generations.

Yes it is a warning. Hopefully the British will follow suit, which we are seeing with the latest rumblings as David Cameron pretends to be against. Roger Pielke has described this as the Iron Law of global warming, that people will not accept a substantial increase in energy prices to try and stop global warming. In fact it is Tony Abbott who is the active resister right now. If only he had done so from the beginning.
