It does not matter ! When you're switching, they'll know who you were with and how many accident you have had and so on...

You'd have to talk to other insurance companies to see what their premiums would be. You'll have to disclose this accident. You may find that the higher rate with the new company is higher than the GEICO sur-charges. Only the insurance company can say for sure. You can't get any definitive answer here.
