I agree. A lot of things on eBay that are listed as Refurbished are often refurb by the seller and NOT by the manufacturer (in this case Nikon). Make sure you read the description, and also look at the Seller's ratings and feedback. I personally tend to shy away from Sellers with not a lot of feedback, and it's a definite no if they have a lot of negative feedback in comparison to the overall number. Also (just a personal experience) - if it's coming from China, beware. They often copy a lot of big brand-name things and sell them as legitimate, I've had this happen to me a number of times and the item has broken within a short amount of time.

It's the ONLY way to buy a refurbished camera. Unless it was refurbished by Nikon, walk the other way.
