I wonder if you are thinking of something you might have heard. The amount of protein that people need is usually expressed as a decimal based on grams of proteins consumed over your body weight in pounds. Its somewhat debatable but for an active lifestyle somewhere between .4 and .8 is recommended. .9 would be a lot - but some bodybuilders shoot for numbers over 1.0.

It's not, it's around 1 gram of protein. The average person needs around 40-60 grams of protein per day. Here's my personal scale 6 grams is okay in protein [10,15] grams is good in protein [15,25] is high in protein.
