ha ha ! it is also my question how is this possible. it will be better if you contact with the best buy and city bank about your credit score and non purchasing stuff .

Review her statement for the last 3 months. If somebody used her credit card to make purchases then she needs to report these fraudulent charges. Charges don't just "grow" on her account. She had to make purchases and if she has paid them all off then she can not have an additional $700 due on the card.

Contact Best Buy. Either they messed up, or someone's been fraudulently using your account. But Best Buy has the answer./

Ummm...well the first thing your mom should have done when she received the bill was to call Best Buy. If she didn't charge anything then it's clearly a mistake.
