You best start learning how to take the dash apart. Or get a magnetic tool retriever off the shelf at AutoZone or another parts store of your choice and wave it in the vent and hope it catches that ring. It's still there, but where gravity willed it down to.

Attach a magnet to a wire and see if you can fish it out. You have to remove the dashboard if no joy. A shop will charge about $400 for that.

You will have to take apart the cars vent system or bend a hook on a piece of wire and try to fish it out. The first 2 people suggested using a magnet and you can try that but it might make you mad because a magnet will only pick it up if it is a "cheap" ring. If your ring is real Gold, Silver, or Platinum it will not pick it up because all those metals are diamagnetic and will actually be pushed away by a strong magnet. Even 10k gold is blended with other non magnetic metals like copper and aluminum.
