Read the name of the top of the Trust Funds and phone them tomorrow to find out how much they are worth. Chances are the trust fund certificates will be useless as the company has gone bust and has disappeared from the face of the earth.

If you have had them for so long, you should have been monitoring the performances. Some funds perform badly, so you should consider switching. It can make a significant difference. Also, using your annual ISA allowances means that no tax is deducted.

The names may well have changed over the years. If you are having trouble identifying them on a site like, the AIC may be able to help: Once you have identified them, you can find their value on a variety of websites
