Sounds like your house phone line is routed through the alarm panel. All you have to do is pull both phone lines out of it. And plug them into a "Straight Thru" adapter. Mark one of the cables so that you know which hole it belongs with, so you can go back if you need to. By the way, what are the symptoms with that phone line of yours, anyway?
