What version of Windows are you running? Usually you set those options in the power saving category. If you are using Windows 7, then go to the control panel and type in "power". On the left hand side you will see an option that says "change when my computer sleeps" or you can set a new power plan. I choose high performance, but thats my preference. As far as your burning up issue. Try using a can of compressed air and blowing out all the holes that you see. There might be a ton of dirt in there. Another possible problem is that you need new thermal paste on your processor. It's easy to do, but leave it to a professional. A cheaper alternative is to by a laptop cooling pad.

i was that problem , before please fix your fan and buy cooler for your laptop
