I did that three times recently. I followed the manufacturer's instructions and all three worked the first time.

Why so you can blast your frequencies and disturb the piece? Lol You'll have to remove the plastic coverings and buy a universal wiring kit girl.

You can buy a plug in adapter,just go to Wall Mart or any car audio shop in your area and give them the yr make and model of your ride and they will sell you the proper plugin that get's wired to the new stereo's wiring harness then plug's into the place where you unplugged your factory stereo from,it's called (PLUG AND PLAY),it comes with instructions.If it's a late model GM ride you best check in with a car audio shop to make sure your install can be done.In many newer ride's their are other functions running threw the same harness as your stereo,just a warning.Knowing the type car should have been posted.
