Yeah I'm not too good at those either.... Maybe is there some way of sanding it down? Ask at ballet talk for dancers for better answers from real professional dancers too :)

Push your weight more to the front of your foot. Imagine that you are almost lifting your heel off the ground. (Don't actually do it though!) I used to have problems too but my teacher told me about this and it got so much better. I'm not entirely sure why this works but I guess the extra weight on the box of your shoe pushes it down and makes it stop wiggling so much. This goes for both penché and arabesque. Another tip is to think of your standing leg as a pole going straight down into the ground. For some reason this always helps me be steadier. Hope this helps you too!
