First you have to be accepted by a Canadian university. So of course, you must meet all qualifications to apply for admission: grades, test scores (including either IELTS or TOEFL), references & recommendations attesting to your talents, abilities, character, etc. Universities look for well-rounded students, so they want extracurricular activities, volunteer work & community service, leadership, teamwork (ability to get along with others, particularly those of different backgrounds), exceptional achievements, awards, etc. After acceptance, you apply for a visa at the nearest Canadian consulate to your home, and prove you have sufficient funds for all school + living expenses, plus return transportation to your country of citizenship. See cic.gc.ca for complete details on student visas. But first, of course, you are going to have to meet admissions requirements, testing, etc. So start your research by looking for good schools offering your intended major.
