It is not different here than in Hamilton or Waterloo, actually with the ethnic area you can save money if you are willing to travel a bit, I am a former chef, I lived here at Spadina and Bloor in a 1 Bdrm apartment, I am on CPP disability, I shop in Chinatown, down the street at Honest Eds, I have 3 grocery store in a 10 block radius, I spend around $50-60 a week as I am a partial vegetarian, I eat out once or twice a month, I would suggest buy special, in bulk were you can, frozen foods are cheaper, if you eat meat, find the best deals, as I do not know where your living all I can say is shop around
