The best thing to do is find an ASE certified shop in your area. Most operations/repairs are standardized and you get charged according to the standard. An ASE shop will cost more, but keep in mind they are certified and most have been to school. Call them up and ask for an estimate. Not only will it get repaired, but you may find out that you did not need a fuel pump after all. Once you find a shop that you like, keep them and let your friends and family know you have a shop you can trust.
