In a train it is about a mile per week. In a model airplane it is about 300 mph.

I'm guessing that's some kind of moped. You won't go fast. Probably about 30-35MPH and it will take a while to get there. If it's a small motorcycle, you can alter the speed by changing the sprockets. That will alter the final drive ratio. Some mopeds have different weights available to go between better acceleration or better top speed. There's no direct link between HP and MPH. Depends on many things like the weight of the vehicle and gear ratios. You might as well just take a test ride and open the throttle up. You definitely won't be overwhelmed with 5HP.
