If you try to rhyme and use metaphor, it taps your unconscious that thinks in metaphors and symbols that will reveal itself consciously and unexpectedly as you write. That happens to me every time I write.

Any fortunately composed work of art reveals "radiance". That is to say, it uncovers, or should uncover, or betrays, or should betray, the numinal sources behind it. Poetry points. It's speaks the ineffable. This is why the poet becomes, in most cases, the archetypal reincarnation of the divine. cheers!!
