Well, don't let them build up in the first place. Lay the garment/s flat. Sprinkle bicarb soda over the stained area. Pour enough white vinegar onto the bicarb soda to make a paste. Spread the paste all over the stain and leave for a few hours. Launder as usual. For future prevention, treat the stain before every wash with liquid oxiclean.

Spray the area heavily with apple cider vineger. Throw the item in the wash. VOILA!
