since you did not quote the exact message, we have to guess. it may be talking about the RAM used by the GPU. a GPU can have DEDICATED RAM(on the gpu so not part of your 6gb which is on your motherboard. this amount can be ZERO. in that case it SHARES the System RAM. but most on-board GPU's always have a little like 64mb. They then add SHARED RAM from the SYSTEM RAM. you can alter the SHARED amount in the BIOS, otherwise the amount is shared based on a percentage of system ram. for Intel HD the Intel GPU is allowed to have up to 1.7gb of the system ram. But you cannot alter the amount of DEDICATED ram as that is soldered onto the GPU board. check the system requirements for your game at their game site

Go to Start>type 'msconfig', (without quotes)>Boot tab>Advanced options...>uncheck 'Maximum memory:'>click OK>Apply and OK>restart.
