it is called an ellipses. The three dots are a form of punctuation used at the end or middle of a sentence to create tension but delaying the information that needs to be said, creating a dramatic atmosphere. Check out the bbc ks3 website english section for more.

You mean when its at the end of a sentence? Its called an Ellipsis. When used in the middle of a sentence, it usually means an omission of a word or phrase. When at the end of thes entence its the same meaning, but it usually means that the sentence is incomplete and that it trails off.
